Hi Taff,

So sorry to hear about Meech I have sent you an email.  Hoping for good news soon

Lynne and Ben

Taff]

Hi there, I am frantically loking for information here. (We're in Canberra Australia.)

It looks like Meech our 3 yr old staffy has exact;y what Ben has had, so your website is a great resource.

Meech started slowing up on Friday, but had already been diagnosed with cystitis by her vet, so we thought it was that. By last night she was looking so bad we took her to the emergency  vet, (she had started losing the use of her rear legs by then.

The vet has diagnosed a spinal problem and she will go under the knife as soon as we can get her in.

Please forward any or all advice you can offer to our e-mail.

Many thanks

Taff

Aw Dena that is so good to hear and I am so pleased your Am Staff is doing well.  I think a lot of it is down to the owners love and determination which the dogs can pick up on. Hugs to your girl.

Nice to see Ben is doing good. I have a Am.Staff and at the age of 7 she also had a massive spinal injury. They did not perform surgery as they did not think it could help. She twisted her spine in her spinal column and had to stay heavily medicated to not moved for 2 weeks. Then for 2 weeks she could only go out by leash to potty then crate bound. another 2 weeks in the crate but doing good. after 8 weeks back to the Dr. he was very surprised she was even walking. He just knew I would be bringing her back after a few days to out her down. He did not think she would make it so he did not want to perform surgery. Yea, a year later and she is going strong. I just restrict her jumping if I can cause the Dr said it could happen again since she has a slight kink in it. No pain though and the kink is only visible by x-ray.

Hello Ben, I think you are a wee trooper, you have come on so well and I love your fighting spirit.  Once your Hydrotherapy treatment starts you will be "raring to go" and your steady progress is making your Mummy so very happy and your Daddy as well.  You will be playing a guid game o' footie before long.

Lots and lots of hugs, cuddles and love frae me and Loki sends you plenty doggy kisses.  Soochie and PJ, the parrots also send you gentle pecks.

Keep up the good work.

Loves you lots. xxxxxx
